Cockroach's Origin Story:
Cory Roch was a quintessential nerd, deeply enamored with the realms of superheroes, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy from a young age. Despite facing bullying and skepticism from his parents, his passion for all things nerdy never waned. Cory often sought solace in these fictional worlds, forming friendships with like-minded individuals both online and at school. Although a part of him yearned to be a real-life superhero, he suppressed this dream, deeming it foolish and perilous.
His intelligence led him to participate in a tech program at school sponsored by Macaw Industries, where he worked on an innovative project involving a technological neurotransmitter designed to communicate with cockroaches—a creature he once feared. For his project, Cory crafted a special suit that mimicked the abilities of a cockroach, integrating the neurotransmitter into the helmet.
On the day of the showcase, Cory demonstrated the suit's capabilities, impressing his peers with his control over the cockroaches. Encouraged by the positive reception, he took the suit home to enhance it further, adding a protective shield that could deploy from the back. During a test run, he thwarted a bank robbery, realizing the potential of his creation.
Embracing his nerdy roots and newfound abilities, Cory adopted the superhero persona of Cockroach, the Protector Pest, using his intelligence and technological prowess to fight crime and protect his community.
