Cockroach's origin story: To say Cory Roch loved being a nerd was an understatement. Ever since he was a toddler, he showed a deep fondness for all things nerdy; superheroes, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. He didn't care that he was bullied for it, how his parents thought of it, he loved it so much. Unfortunately, whenever there would be a troubling time, he would escape into it, but mostly to an unhealthy degree. He founded friends either online or at school, nerds and geeks like him. A part of him wanted to be an actual real-life superhero but he pushed it down since it sounded like a dumb and dangerous idea. As he was highly intelligent, Cory took part in a tech program in his school that was created by Macaw Industries. He was working on a technological neurotransmitter that talked to cockroaches, a bug that Cory had once feared. One day, Cory had to do a project for the program, so he made a special suit that resembled and gave him the abilities similar to a cockroach and decided to use the neurotransmitter, installing it into the helmet. On the day he showcased the suit, displaying all the usefulness and demonstrating the neurotransmitter that controlled cockroaches and making them do his every bidding of his will, everyone loved it. He brought it all home where he fully decided to upgrade the suit, creating a shield that would envelop into the back of the suit. After taking it out on a test run where he stopped a bank robber, he chose to use both his nerd knowledge and intelligence as the Protecter Pest, Cockroach.
