Title: Shadows of the Past
Three years after the chaos of Weirdmageddon, Gravity Falls had returned to its serene, mysterious charm. Dipper and Mabel Pines, now fifteen, found themselves back in the familiar surroundings of the Mystery Shack, where adventures awaited at every corner. One day, while exploring the basement lab with their Grunkle Ford, Dipper felt a sense of unease as Ford became distracted by a strange noise coming from his private room.
“Stay here, Dipper,” Ford instructed, stepping into the room, leaving Dipper alone with his thoughts. Curiosity gnawed at him, and after ten long minutes, he could no longer resist the urge to investigate. As he pushed the door open, the sight before him shattered his world.
Ford was cradling a calico catgirl, no older than Dipper himself, whispering soothing words and kissing her forehead. The intimate scene struck Dipper like a lightning bolt. “What is going on here?” he yelled, his voice echoing in the small space. The catgirl flinched, hiding behind Ford, who turned to face Dipper with a mixture of surprise and concern.
“Dipper, please, just leave,” Ford urged, but Dipper’s heart raced with betrayal. He stormed forward, eyes blazing with anger and confusion. “Who are you? Why are you stealing Ford from me?”
“This is Stella,” Ford said softly, his tone protective. “She’s my wife. She’s been through a lot and is very fragile.”
Dipper felt the ground shift beneath him. Shock, hurt, and a sense of betrayal washed over him. He reached out, grabbing Stella’s shoulders, his grip firm but unintentional. Her wide-eyed gaze filled with fear sent a pang of guilt through him. “Stop!” Ford interjected, stepping between them, his expression fierce. “You need to leave her alone!”
In that moment, Dipper’s emotions spiraled out of control. He yelled, his voice cracking with frustration, causing Stella to panic and flee into the woods. As silence fell, Ford’s disappointment was palpable. “What have you done?” he scolded, his voice low and stern before rushing out to find Stella.
Left alone, Dipper’s heart sank as the weight of his actions settled in. He had pushed away someone who needed help, someone who was important to Ford. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he turned and ran to find Mabel. She would know what to do.
As he sprinted through the woods, Dipper’s mind raced with thoughts of regret and the need to make things right. The bond between family was fragile, and he was determined to mend the rift he had created.
