Vienna Lager Recipe for 1 BBL (Two Wort Runs)

Batch Size: 1 BBL (31 gallons)

Wort Run 1:

• Grains:
  • Vienna Malt: 10 lbs
  • Pilsner Malt: 5 lbs
  • Munich Malt: 3 lbs
• Hops:
  • Hallertau (Bittering): 1 oz (60 min)
• Water:
  • Use approximately 15 gallons of water for the first run.

Wort Run 2:

• Grains:
  • Vienna Malt: 10 lbs
  • Pilsner Malt: 5 lbs
  • Munich Malt: 3 lbs
• Hops:
  • Hallertau (Flavor): 0.5 oz (15 min)
  • Hallertau (Aroma): 0.5 oz (5 min)
• Water:
  • Use approximately 15 gallons of water for the second run.

Yeast:

• Lager Yeast (e.g., Wyeast 2124 or Saflager W-34/70)

Fermentation:

• Ferment at 50-55°F (10-13°C) for 2-3 weeks.

Final Gravity:

• Target OG: 1.050
• Target FG: 1.010

Notes:

• Combine both wort runs before boiling.
