In My Own World: Times of Magic and Dragons

Logline: A homeschooled girl discovers a hidden world of dragons and magic, fulfilling an ancient prophecy and battling a powerful she-demon.

Scene 1:

INT. MAGGIE'S BEDROOM - DAY

Sunlight streams into a cozy bedroom. MAGGIE (13, brown hair, blue eyes), sits at her desk, sketching a dragon in a notebook. Her younger siblings, TUCKER (10), LUCY (8), and CHARLOTTE (6), play quietly nearby. The room is filled with drawings and books.

MAGGIE (V.O.) I always felt different. Homeschooling in Buena Vista, Virginia, wasn't exactly brimming with adventure. But in my head, there was always a world waiting to be explored.

Maggie finishes her drawing, a magnificent Light Fury.

MAGGIE (V.O.) My stories were my escape. My best friend, MoonJewel, lived only in my imagination. Until she didn't.

EXT. MAGGIE'S BACKYARD - NIGHT

Maggie sits on the grass, staring at the moon. A shimmering light appears, resolving into MOONJEWEL, a Light Fury dragon. Maggie is initially paralyzed with fear, but MoonJewel approaches gently, purring. She nuzzles Maggie’s hand.

MAGGIE (Whispering) You're... real?

MoonJewel licks Maggie's face.

Scene 2:

EXT. CLOUDS - DAY

Maggie, clinging to MoonJewel's back, soars through the sky. The world stretches out beneath them, breathtaking and vast.

MAGGIE (Laughing) This is incredible!

Scene 3:

EXT. DRAGON VALLEY - DAY

Maggie and MoonJewel land in a hidden valley teeming with dragons. HICCUP (20s) and ASTRID (20s), familiar from Maggie's favorite movie series, approach cautiously.

HICCUP Well, hello there. You're... different.

ASTRID We've been expecting you, Maggie.

Scene 4:

INT. HICCUP AND ASTRID'S HOME - NIGHT

Hiccup and Astrid explain Maggie's destiny: a keystone in a prophecy, a dragon rider, an enchantress, a heroine. They reveal they are her godparents, and that she once roamed the Imagined Dimension, but somehow forgot.

Scene 5:

EXT. FORSAKEN TEMPLE - NIGHT

SOUL STEALER, a powerful she-demon, laughs maniacally, summoning dark magic. Maggie, Hiccup, Astrid, and the dragons engage in a fierce battle. Soul Stealer is defeated, but vows revenge.

Scene 6:

EXT. CLIFFTOP - SUNSET

Maggie and MoonJewel sit on a cliff, overlooking a breathtaking vista.

MAGGIE This place is amazing, girl; I don't wanna leave... and I never will.

MoonJewel pounces on Maggie, showering her with slobbery kisses. Maggie laughs, embracing the affection.

Scene 7:

MONTAGE

A montage of Maggie exploring the world with MoonJewel, using her magic, and helping others. She embraces her destiny, her faith, and her newfound family. The final shot shows Maggie and MoonJewel soaring into the sunset, their adventure just beginning.
