There is a mad scientist that has created a time machine in their lab. They rant about how they're better than the other scientists back at Harvard University. They accidentally turn on the time machine and fall in. The scientist is sent to a field in Medieval England. The scientist is approached by a Knight and his Squire who can't understand the scientist because the knight and squire speak Old English. Those two believe that the scientist is a bandit and take him to the king. The king sends the scientist to the dungeons. The scientist goes on another rant in the dungeon cell while another prisoner sits there and listens to them. At the end, the other prisoner gives the scientist an indication they have no clue what they've said. The play is meant to be humorous.
