The Great Circus Escape

Characters:

• Clowny: A cheerful, slightly clumsy clown puppet.
• Horsey: A kind, strong horse puppet.
• Ladybug: A wise, gentle ladybug puppet.
• Devily: A mischievous, but ultimately good-hearted devil puppet.

Setting: A colorful circus tent.

Scene 1:

(Clowny bounces around excitedly, juggling brightly colored balls. Horsey stands patiently nearby, occasionally nudging a large, colorful ball with his nose. Ladybug sits on a mushroom, observing.)

Clowny: Hee hee! Look at me, everyone! The greatest clown in the whole wide world! (Drops a ball. Sighs dramatically.) Oh, dear! I seem to have dropped one of my precious juggling balls!

Horsey: (Neighs gently) Don't worry, Clowny! I'll help you find it.

(Horsey sniffs around, eventually finding the ball under a large, red curtain. Devily pops out from behind the curtain, snatching the ball.)

Devily: Hee hee hee! I found it first! This ball is mine now!

Clowny: But… but it's my juggling ball! I need it for my act!

Ladybug: (Calmly) Devily, that's not very nice. It's important to share.

Scene 2:

(Devily hides behind the curtain again, clutching the ball. Clowny looks sad. Horsey tries to comfort him.)

Horsey: Don't be upset, Clowny. We'll think of something.

Ladybug: Perhaps we could all play together? We could have a game!

(Ladybug suggests a game of "pass the ball," but Devily refuses at first. He's initially selfish, wanting to keep the ball for himself. However, as he watches Clowny and Horsey play together happily, he starts to feel left out.)

Devily: (Whispering) Maybe… maybe I could play too?

(Devily hesitantly joins the game. At first, he tries to cheat, but Ladybug gently reminds him about sharing. Slowly, Devily learns to play fairly and cooperatively.)

Scene 3:

(The game continues, with everyone laughing and having fun. Devily even learns a few juggling tricks from Clowny.)

Clowny: Wow, Devily! You're getting really good at juggling!

Devily: Thanks, Clowny! It's much more fun playing together than keeping the ball all to myself.

Horsey: (Neighs happily) See? Sharing is much better!

Ladybug: That's right! When we share and play together, everyone has more fun.

Scene 4:

(The puppet show ends with everyone bowing, the ball now shared amongst them. The moral of the story is emphasized.)

Narrator: And so, Clowny, Horsey, Ladybug, and Devily learned a valuable lesson that day. Sharing and playing together makes everyone happy! It's always better to be kind and share than to be selfish and keep things all to yourself. Remember, sharing makes the world a brighter place!
