Journal Entry #1 "No success with finding any leads to where Chris may be. The locals here aren't that much friendly to see someone like me around. It bothered me but some locals were kind enough to me to let me talk. They haven't seen Chris around but they will keep an eye if they do. I gave them my number for any contact. It's kinda stupid to give strangers my number, but it's better than nothing. Anyway Jill was true to her word and brought in some men from bravo and Charlie team for me. Marco, Jeff, Keaton and a few others. Lively bunch, but I residued the seriousness of the mission and luckily they said they'll won't disappoint. I know that Jill gave them a long discussion before departure because the edge of uneasiness and scared that I saw on their faces when they first arrived was clear as day. But I told the rules and what to do and they got relaxed easily into it. Gladly." Journal Entry #2 "Weeks past since I've gotten my squad. We have searched most of the portion in the East quadrant. No luck really, just people giving us no answers when we showed the photo. The only thing we got were stares from many people. It just gives me more nervous on any assaults or attacks that may come our way. Anyway, today's search gave us some Intel from one individual. Child really. When approaching a bar the child approached talking in their native language. It was desperate when given to us so we had to tell him if he spoke any english, enough to give us some Intel on what he was telling us about. The child looked at us like we were crazy but that didn't last long when he spoke to us. "I saw man your looking for. He gave me teddy bear." is what he said. It was something little but when I thanked him for the information he kept tugging to follow him. He led me to his house. Didn't know why at first but when he knocked on the door it opened to show who I pressumed would be his mother. The mother looked at me, she was weared out for sure, but was kind enough to let me in from the cold. Their house was awfully huge. The mother assured me to the living room and offered me some tea. I told her about what was going on and that didnt surprise her at the least. She mentioned that her son was talking about Chris since the beginning of the month. Even drew drawings of him which I got see. They were cute, natural drawer for a young age. The kid showed up a bit afterwards with the teddy bear he mentioned. It was worn out, it was cleaned a bit to show its brown fur but it was scratched up and torn most of the stuffing. The mother then told me about the country and the bars within it. Most of the stuff were pretty sustainable and other gave me an idea that I could rehash with crioti when I get the chance to. The woman is way better in the computer technology then most of the people I saw back in BSAA. She gave me a language book for Endonian language. I thanked the her and the son for the information they've given before leaving. " Piers walked back into the hotel, wiping his gloves from the wet snow that was stuck on them. "Ugh... Fuck this cold is rough." Luckily the hotel wasn't that much on company so he wouldn't have to worry about people eavesdropping and possibly disturb his crew. Which he then wondered how much they got done. Maybe more than him. He shook off any uneasiness before seeing crioti fixated on a couple of papers on her desk. Piers walked up to her and saw more clear on the papers she was working on. It was something that was not in a english vocabulary so it's nothing he knew. "It's documents on biometric tech." crioti spoke. Piers looked at the papers. "Don't get ahead of yourself. I'm studying for my tests coming up." crioti flipped a page. Piers questioned, "how old are you?" crioti then flipped another page. "Twenty, just halfway through college." piers was kinda surprised by that. "College and working a hotel. That's a lot of work for someone your age." Crioti scoffed at that. "My dad and I own this shop since I was born. When he died I had to take over this shop before it had to be set for demolition." she continued. "Before you ask he died from the war. Saved a group of people from a building collapse. I wasn't informed until they safely transported us back here. I've learned to cope with it." piers listened to her and nodded. That was her business and he'll stick to not being annoying about it. "Anyway your boy scouts came by to see if you were here. They something about getting a drink before walking back out. That was a few hours ago. Haven't came back since." piers scoffed. 'So they didn't find information that was any use.' he thought. "Well I'll have to find them later. I don't have the energy to go searching for them." Crioti chuckled at that. "Fair enough. They were being obnoxious,I don't know how you can deal with them." piers sighed before shrugging. "I can't complain about them. Jill said they were best from the bravo and Charlie teams. It's just until we can get Chris back then we will have to pick better recruitment that are Stevie wonder boys." crioti looked at piers. "It's a reference to a star back in America sorry." crioti shook it off. "Don't bother. I find it hilarious." crioti smiled before turning back to her work. "So tell me about you piers?" pier looked at her as she flipped through the pages on the files. "What?" crioti looked a bit back at piers. "I told you about me and it's only fair I know a bit of yours." piers sighed. 'Guess that's fair. ' he thought. "Grew up in the States. Mother abandoned us when I was young. So I had my father and my grandfather as my parental guardians. I grew up around fire arms, when u was old enough to take care of myself my grandfather showed me the guns he had. Even had driven me to his shooting range from time to time to help me with the guns. My father never minded it because our family were big on military experience. My father and grandfather both were in the military once a upon a time with the rest of our ancestors. Anyway I spend my time after school to go with my father to the shooting range that was near our neighborhood. I was good with the weapons I used. Assault rifles, machine guns, but one I love the most and still have with me is my anti material rifle that I got from my grandfather." piers smiled when thinking about it. "How old are you?" crioti asked the same question now to piers. "Twenty five. Been in military for a while now. Chris, the man I told you about is my captain." crioti sighed. "I figured that. It's why you have a milltia out here to search for him." piers kinda scoffed a bit. "Mhm." piers had another question before it was interrupted with crioti getting up from her chair. "Well it's getting late. You can stay in here to see if your soldiers will show up but it should be lights out at 10 alright?" she set down her keys on the desk and moved them to piers's reach. Hook them on the door when your done." before piers could utter a word she continued. "I know you have questions about that man you saved me from but can it wait till later?" piers kept looking at her but nodded when he realized the tiredness eteched on her face. He assumed had to be hours of studying she had done. She then turned around and headed to her room that wasn't far from the lobby. She then closed the door behind her leaving piers alone. He wondered how she can deal with those assholes then treat it like no big deal. He scratched more of his thoughts and worry about it later. Hours past and it hit 9:00 when the squad arrived back. They weren't drunk but they were cracking up jokes and laughing. Piers was in the lobby waiting from to get back. He wasn't happy in the slightest when seeing them treating this as a joke. He walked up to them. They all stopped their laughter when upon seeing piers pissed off look. "You think this is an easy mission? Goofing off like this then do what you were assigned too? All of alpha team were lost here. Good men, men younger than most of you. You think they were goofing off, no, they did their jobs and protected the team the best they could. Bravo and Charlie may be different for you guys but when your assigned for this task force you follow it like any other mission you have been on. You follow my command and do what I specifically tell you. That was too collect Intel on where captain Redfield may have fleed to. NOT go to a bar and show up till late at night. Did you find ANY Intel at all? Or were you drunk off your ass at the bar you mentioned? " piers waited in the silence. None of the ment spoke and piers scoffed at it. "Fucking ridiculous. I'm assigning us all to look together for the rest of this mission. You guys pull any stunts then I'm having you back in the States in 24 hours. Understood." he said the last statement with authority which got every soldier to nod their head and saying. "Yes sir." piers looked at each one of them. "Now go get some sleep. We leave early in the morning. 7 a.m. and have your asses in gear and in the lobby at that time." piers dismissed then all. Each of them going to their single big bedroom crioti had given to them to all share. Piers sighed and rubbed his temple annoyingly. "Fuck sake.." piers said with a mumble before walking to his own room. Getting undressed to a simple black tank top and sweats. He didn't want to shower until later so he didn't have to worry about it. He did shower yesterday and didn't want to waste the water bill for crioti. She's done enough for them to give a place to rendezvou at so barely taking showers is the least can do. He'll have to make sure when they get Chris back to get his somenof his money back to her when he reached the States again. That's a promise. He laid on his bed again and stared at the ceiling for a while. He was rough against the new men he got but they did have to understand what was important here. He turned to face the window and saw the night sky and the moon like already saw his first day in this hotel. He did wonder from time to time if finding Chris would be good for all this effort. He shook it off. He'll have to, Chris treated his team like family. He didn't want to abandon Chris, he won't know how long it'll take but he'll have to scrounge the data to make sure he brings Chris home and back to where he belongs.
