In this time of political upheaval in our country, it is concerning for those of us abroad to see the state of peace and order in the nation. We are also apprehensive about the state of education in the Philippines due to reports of corruption involving former leaders of the Department of Education. The future seems so vague that it hampers our ability to plan for the best for our children who will continue their schooling in the Philippines.
These are but tests of faith for all of us and at the same time a call for our unity to be wise and careful in our actions. The decision is not only for our parents; it is also an obligation of every youth present here today who is ready to face the harsh realities of the situation in the Philippines.
